Woo Commerce Plugin for Pagelines!
Posted 05 April 2013 - 11:30 AM
Dear all. I am looking to add ecommerce to my site. Woo commerce looks like the one to go for. Am I right in thinking there is a proper Pagelines supplied plugin coming very soon? So should I wait or crack on with adding Woo commerce through the regular WordPress plugins section?

A quick note to let people know I am working on modifying Mike Jolly's Pagelines woocommerce plugin to work with woocommerce 2.0. It will be available on the store as a free plugin. Right now it is being tested and bugs worked out. Will let you know when it hits the store.
Should be coming very soon but likely an integration.
I asked Mike Jolley from Woo Commerce about Pagelines customizations (after seeing the Jigoshop plugin) and he just went ahead and did it. Amazing! This is a great integration and even allows you to use the Woo Commerce with Pagelines sections. So far it seems to be working fine, just be aware that I don't think he plans to support it or update it much, though it's on github now. https://github.com/m...nes-woocommerce Thanks Mike! J

So it will never actually be available through the PageLines plugins section?
Also, can I just ask, does Woo Commerce need this integration code to work with Pagelines, or does it just make it easier? I just want to check so I know if I need to get a coder to help me with the installation.

Since I have made a site in PageLines (not DMS) for a company which now wants to add a shop - this plugin would be a real hit for me. But is it already anywhere online available?

Pagelines Framework 2.4.4
I still don't understand why this framework is abandoned in such a way. Primarily when it was a -quite- expensive framework which I have used for quite a lot of customers. All the plugins for this system where bought wit a solid future in mind.

The plugin was created by a third party developer and PageLines Framework has never supported WooCommerce without this third party compatibility plugin. Most of our store developers are solely focusing on DMS. However, I have linked you to the developers GitHub profile where you may be able to contact her with your issue with PageLines Framework and WooCommerce.
Also PageLines Framework hasn't been abandoned, it will still receive maintenance and bug fixes, it is just now feature frozen, as our main focus is on DMS. DMS supports WooCommerce out of the box, we actually use for the PageLines Marketplace.
