Supersized background dosent fill entire screen in iPhone portrait mode

Question

Posted · Report post

I am preparing supersized background for implementation on live site. Tested the site in a iPhone(portrait mode) and the background doesn't fill the entire screen when scrolling down. The background has the dimensions 2560px ?— 1600px. Se screenshot of iPhone here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8243630/iphone-bg.png Settings in PL: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8243630/pl-bg-settings.png I think its the same issue that is filed as a bug below. http://www.pagelines.com/tracking/pagelinesframework/issues/3 Solution? Code workaround? I use a child theme.

Well, the good news is we are aware of this issue and are working on it. The bad news is, the solution isn't ready for release. There's an article about this issue here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4230452/supersized-3-0-view-through-iphone Rest assured, we'll keep working to fix it.

OK. How can i be notified when it is fixed? Can you update this discussion? The only workaround i can find now(in my case) is to set a body background color/image. Then there is at least no white color when scrolling down. Maybee you can get some id?©as or help from Chris Coyier over at CSS-Tricks. HI, Thanks for informing us and our users of a workaround, we appreciate it. Like Rangelone mentioned, the developers are aware of the issue. This will be resolved, however there is no ETA at the moment.
