Help! My Main Nav Jumps Around and Drop Downs Disappear.

Question

Posted · Report post

Everything worked fine until I upgraded to Pagelines 2.1.6 from 2.1. I have deactivated my plugins one by one, and plugins aren't the problem.

Do you have some Custom Code affecting the hover status of your menu? If so, it appears there's something missing or extra about it that's adding padding and alignment on hover. Can you post your custom CSS here?

This is the only CSS for the navigation... .main_nav li a { color: #FFFFFF; } .navigation_wrap { border-bottom: 0 none !important; } .sf-menu li, .main_nav ul.sf-menu a:focus, .sf-menu a:hover, .sf-menu a:active I am noway near an expert at code, so anything that fixes this would be appreciated.

In your custom code, did you have anything below this line?
.sf-menu li, .main_nav ul.sf-menu a:focus, .sf-menu a:hover, .sf-menu a:active
That's incomplete. In CSS, there's always an instruction between curly brackets {}

I'm sending you everything in CSS Rules box. I got most of it through Firebug... body{} #footer { background-image: url(http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac131/lorilaws/eospoincom11c-1.jpg) } ) } .main_nav li a { background-image: url()} .main_nav li a { color: #FFFFFF; } .navigation_wrap { border-bottom: 0 none !important; } .sf-menu li, .main_nav ul.sf-menu a:focus, .sf-menu a:hover, .sf-menu a:active .textwidget { padding: 0 2px; } #footer .footcol-pad { padding: 0 0; } #cred { padding: 15px; text-align: center; } .widget-pad { padding: 0; } .content-pad { padding: 7px; } p, .p, .hentry ul, .hentry ol { margin: 0; } .hentry-pad { padding: 0 10px 0px; } .hentry .entry-title { margin: 13px; } #content .content-pad { padding-top: 35px; } .hentry .entry-title { margin: 0; }
.sf-menu li, .main_nav ul.sf-menu a:focus, .sf-menu a:hover, .sf-menu a:active
^ You have these selectors in your code but no attributes in curly brackets following them. Can you please cut this out of the code and see if the problem persists?
