Ourworks with Platform Pro. Much of the information on the site should only be available for registered doctors and therapists. That's why we're using the plugin : the therapist fills in his, name, address and some other info, a mail is sent to us, we check whether it's a real doctor/therapist and allow (or not) the new 'member'. WP Members also creates a special account page where a user can modify his info.
We now want to add a shop to the site, so we've upgraded to Pagelines Framework and we've installed Jigoshop (we're working on a development server, so the public site is still the old Platform-site). This shop should only be available for members, too. In the Jigoshop settings we've chosen for the option to not allow guest's purchases. Using the plugin we make the Store-menu invisible for non-members. That doesn't seem the most beautiful solution, but at least it works.
But then we encounter a problem: you also have to leave your address etc. when buying something and Jigoshop has a special account page for this too. But this is a different page than the WP Members account page. We've checked the database and both WP Members and Jigoshop use the wp_users and wp_usermeta. But while the user_id is the same, the meta-keys are different. For a potential buyer that will be confusing: he may update his address in WP Members but then later has to change it again in Jigoshop.
Long story (sorry), but the question is: is there a smarter way to make Jigoshop only available for (checked & controlled!) members? Or do we have to rewrite the plugin WP Members to force it to use the same meta-keys as Jigoshop...? (We hope not!)
Thnx for your suggestions!
How to make Jigoshop only available for members/registered users?
