How do I change color for header and footer in order to have 3 distinct color bands on all pages?

Question

Posted · Report post

I upgraded from PlatformPro which came standard with a dark footer. I have not been able to find a way to easily change the header and footer without going into the CSS code and changing it there. Is there a simpler way? I would like to have the header and footer on the site to be a charcoal grey color of 3d3c3c. Thanks in advance! Traylor Lovvorn

Traylor, How've you been? Do you have Firebug? http://www.getfirebug.com It's a free add-on for Firefox and lets you see, test, and copy the correct CSS easily into your style.css (Pagelines Customize plugin) or Custom Code in CSS Rules. Let me give you an idea... finding the CSS for the header (branding area), I was able to change the color:
#branding .content-pad { background-color: #3d3c3c;}
The same kind of thing can be done for the footer or any other element. Let me know if that helps.
