How can I make a Custom Post Type list posts in Magazine Layout Mode?

Question

Posted · Report post

I am hoping to make a Custom Post Type list view to layout in "Magazine Layout Mode" which is different from the rest of my site (which is in Blog Layout Mode). Is there an add_filter that I can use in the functions.php file to make this happen. Or another approach? This is as far as I got with the add_filter approach (limited experience with php):

	add_filter('pagelines_post_header','show_clip');

	function  show_clip(){  if ( is_tax ( 'project-categories' ) ) {
	//not sure what to put in here
	}}

Thank you in advance.

Have you seen this documentation on Custom Post Types?: http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Types

I am not sure how that link would help? I have had no problems setting up custom post types. To clarify, my challenge is how to change the pagelines Layout Mode setting for my custom post type to "Magazine Layout Mode" when the rest of my site needs to remain in "Blog Layout Mode." My best solution was to add a filter, but got stuck. see above. thanks

Will Magazine Layout Mode be on the index/home page while the rest of the site remains in Blog Layout Mode or the other way around?

Blog Layout Mode is used for the blog home page and all blog categories and tags. I am trying to make the custom post type I created, "projects", show up in Magazine Layout Mode. I would show you my site if I could to clarify more... but it is hosted locally.

Control for custom post types will be included in a future release.

Thanks Simon. Glad to hear! In the mean time (assuming the update isn't in the next week or so) is there any chance someone can help me with the filter function I started above (assuming this is an option)?

Figured out way to accomplish goals for time being using css. Looking forward to greater control for custom posts. Thanks all.
