Many elements of PageLines products, ranging from PlatformPro, EcoPro, WhiteHousePro, StationPro, iBlogPro 4 and 5 and PageLines Framework are not supported by older browsers. Such things as transparent .png files, for example will not work in Internet Explorer 6 or 7 as those browsers predate the establishment of the PNG transparency format. Browsers that do not support HTML 5 (PageLines Framework) or transparent images will not accept all versions of our product range.

There is no technological solution to this that we can provide except that it is the responsibility of the site viewer to use the latest possible version of their favorite browser.

While we are fully prepared to support the latest browser versions, we cannot provide support for older, deprecated browsers. At the time of this topic, these were the stats for browser use world-wide: Posted Image

Our solution to topics requesting help with outdated browsers will be a recommendation to upgrade. We cannot turn back time or redesign our product range to accommodate the older browsers.

If you are concerned that visitors to your sites using older browsers may not be able to see things equally, we suggest using "This site requires the latest browser version" in your policy statement, terms of use or other location.

Maybe implementing a nice way of prompting IE8 users to install the Google Chrome Frame with the ability to customize the pop-up??? I have to say, the IE8 thing is a really sore subject for me! It is the weirdest thing how people still use that dreck!
