Site name color change on hover

Question

Posted · Report post

I am trying to set up the site title text to change color on hover, but can't manage to do it having tried a bunch of options.. Right now there's this one which is not working:

#branding .sitename a:hover {
	background-color: cccccc
	}

Can you please suggest the solution? I need both sitename and sitedescription to change color when user hovers. ps I am using Pagelines Customize plugin.

They are being covered up by the transparent part of the logo image, use this to make them on top:
.sitename, .sitedescription { position: relative; z-index: 100 }
Hmm, now they're on top I guess, thank you. But the sitename changes color to the default link color (?) and description doesn't change at all.. Couldn't find the way to override those settings. Can you please advise?
