Fatal error! The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found. Running Wordpress 3.3 wp-content CHMOD to 755 Installing plugins from the store had no problems.

I'm going to flag this to a developer. I think he has a solution.

Andy can you contact me by email and we'll have a look at it, these short non-descriptive answers are not really helping you or helping us figure the problem out ;) simon@pagelines.com

Hi, it is a permission issue. One solution is to ask your webhosting company to enable fastcgi on your account. Some hosters allow to contol this manually via .htaccess. This code did it for my webhosting company, but it may vary.

Another solution would be uploading the files manually. Some can be found here:

I'm having the same issue... "The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found. Plugin install failed." The hosting is with 123-reg. Have had no problem with previous websites before. So just add the above code to the .htaccess and all is good?

@jo_woodman, your trying to upload a section zip using the wordpress plugin installer. Either unzip and use FTP to upload the folder to plugins/pagelines-sections folderor use the section installer, in the sections tab of wp-admin store area.

Hi, i've just had the same problem with a new site - shouldnt be the hosting as ive got multiple sites on the provider. Is there an alternative to FTP'ing the files in/solution?

Hi there, make sure you're if you're installing sections manually from the zip you'll need to do so via Pagelines>store>sections>upload, not the the plugins tab in the wp admin area.
