Float image at bottom of sidebar

Is there a way to make an image float at the bottom of the sidebar and stick to the side and bottom of the screen.

It's possible using absolute positioning, as opposed to floating. In this case you'd want to add an ID to the image. Then, set

Yes Adam, It turns out that I was using shorthand for the background image and that wasn't working. Thanks Kate as well for your suggestion, it pointed my friend to the right tree and he was able to help me out. L.
