Mood and Space Design

Dawn Carlson and Tony Ibarra met while studying Interior Architecture and Design at the Academy of Art University (AAU) in San Francisco in 2008. They quickly realized they shared the same intense passion for everything design while coming from completely different perspectives, bringing different skills to the table. What a great business model to offer their clients! More passion, more skill, more perspective. Mood and Space. MAS.
When Carol Perry (a friend from the MFA Interior Architecture and Design department at AAU) volunteered to help out with MAS’ Designer Showcase rooms in 2013, she quickly realized that this was not just another design team. She upgraded her dream of working for an established firm in favor of partnering in a small, up-and-coming (yet masterful) studio that she believes in as she does design itself. Her steadfast refusal of anything short of perfection is not only reflected, but it is in fact validated and encouraged by the team at MAS. Add one spitfire of a Design Coordinator in office maverick Ariel Richardson, and they have fast become their own unmatched, bizarre and wickedly talented little family.
